| Installation
Instructions: How Do I ADD "XM Direct 2" to my Car Stereo |
|
Step 1: |
|
Download XM Direct 2 Application. If not downloaded, please click here to Download XM Direct 2.
|
|
|
|
|
Step 2: |
Select the CNP2000UC (universal programmable adapter) and the appropriate
connection cable
(see compatibility product and pricing list below)
|
|
 |
|
|
|
Step 3: |

Locate your PC/Laptop
-
You will need the CNP2000UC universal programmable adapter and included USB
cable
|
 |
|
|
|
Step 4: |

Remove the plastic cover off the universal programmable adapter
|
 |
|
|
|
Step 5: |
-
Connect the cable to the mini-USB port on the adapter
-
Connect other end to the USB port on your PC/Laptop
|
 |
|
|
|
Step 6: |
|
For first time Users, you will be prompt to add Device Driver. Click
here for Device Driver instructions.

|
|
Step 7: |

After installing, please click on XM Direct 2 icon on your Desktop.

Unrestrict Activex Control. See below
|
 |
|
|
|
Step 8: |

Choose your make/brand of car stereo from the selected manufacturers
|
 |
|
|
|
Step 9: |

Select the model number of your car stereo from the list
|
 |
|
|
|
Step 10: |
-
Verify the brand and model number you selected is correct
-
Run your software protocol (process takes less than 10 seconds)
|

|
|
|
Step 11: |

Once the download is complete EXIT the application.
-
After exiting the application carefully remove the USB cable from the PC/Laptop
and the CNP2000UC.
